Welcome to Hypnosis For a Change
Hypnosis can be useful in many different emotional and/or physical conditions. I focus on treating the following:
- Pain - acute and chronic, including fibromyalgia and complex regional pain - formerly called RSD
- Stress - and stress related symptoms such as poor sleep, teeth grinding, mail biting, nervousness, fears and phobias.
My 16 years of experience as an occupational therapist, combined with training as a certified hypnotist (certified with the National Guild of Hypnotists) plus my studies in psychology at Brock University give me a unique perspective on pain, stress and the current state of care. After seriously reviewing the research on hypnosis, I saw it has clearly been proven effective in many conditions - especially pain. This prompted me to pursue training in this area. I feel a lot more can - and should be offered to people to help relieve stress and pain. This is what inspires me to constantly study.
Working with a hypnotist is a partnership. You need to be very involved and seriously motivated to change. I can not "fix" you. We work together to help you explore your own inner mind and make the changes you want to see.
